Showcasing traditional skills

Manufactum by FRESS is a commercial space opened by the Ricardo do Espírito Santo Silva Foundation (FRESS) in the heart of Chiado, Lisbon, to promote the work of the FRESS craft workshops. Contemporary pieces created by artisans in partnership with contemporary designers including Filipe Alarcão, Marco Sousa Santos, Emmanuel Babled, Marre Moerel and Sam Baron show that traditional knowledge of woodworking and metalworking can be applied to contemporary design. In addition, visitors may buy original gifts, such as porcelain, silverware, tinware, marbled crafts and trimmings.
