Perfect ceramic forms in white

Linck's handmade ceramic works embody perfection and a timeless aesthetic. Between the 1940s and 1980s Margrit Linck created hundreds of ceramic objects – over time, increasingly in white. She gave a simple explanation for this: “I love white – since form is of utmost importance to me, it seems that the perfect form can only come in white.” Margrit Linck’s designs continue to be produced today in this Bern workshop using traditional handmade techniques on the potter’s wheel. Since 2011 Linck has been owned and run by Annet Berger, the third generation to keep this tradition alive. The workshop is open to young artisans and traditional potters, and twice a year showcases its work in a public exhibition where the production process can be experienced first hand.
