It is no coincidence that Glasgalerie Stölting is located among the architectural highlights of Hamburg’s HafenCity, the youngest suburb of the metropolis, overlooked by the Elbe Philharmonic Hall with its unique glass superstructure. Founded in 2013 by Tom Stölting, the gallery specialises in glass sculptures by Czech artists. Tom is continuing a tradition started by his mother Eliška Stölting, who founded the world’s first gallery specialising in contemporary Czech glass art in 1988. However, Glasgalerie Stölting focuses not only on the first and second generation of Czech glass artists, but also has a strong emphasis on the third and youngest generation.
