Russian lacquer miniatures

The Fedoskino shop is a treasure trove of objects made at Russia’s oldest lacquer miniature manufacturer, established in 1795. The range of products is very diverse, including brooches, bracelets and key tags in addition to an extensive range of boxes, caskets and panels made by the finest artisans. Classic subjects for the designs include idyllic countryside landscapes, Russian folk tale characters and scenes from 19th century everyday life: tea parties, balls, hunting, bathing, sewing, music making and promenades. One of the most famous and popular designs is the colourful Troika Ride, showing three horses pulling a sleigh or a carriage with a cheerful crowd aboard. Prices range from 2,000 rubles to more than 180,000 rubles per piece.
