Galleria Michela Rizzo

Contemporary art

Art gallery with Venetian roots but international connectionsGalleria Michela Rizzo opened in 2004 with the goal of breathing new life into the contemporary cultural scene. From 2013, the gallery has made its home on the ground floor of an industrial building, in the area of the former breweries on the Island of Giudecca. The strength of the gallery is the synergy between Venetian roots and international connections, and its mission is to constantly raise the bar in the Italian cultural offering. Over the years, Galleria Michela Rizzo has produced a high-profile programme using a mixture of in-house exhibitions, partnerships with major local and foreign museums and institutions, collaborations with established and emerging artists and employing recognised and young curators. Particular attention has been paid to relevant themes of the international scene, such as environment, space, policies and perceptions.
