The Museo del Botijo Español is located in the small town of Toral de los Guzmanes, inside a castle. Visitors can view more than 3000 traditional Spanish drinking vessels with two spouts and a handle, otherwise known as botijos. It is a vessel generally made of baked clay and according to different typologies, including winter botijos, animal-shaped botijos and bridal botijos, among many others. The museum has an exhibition room, where visitors can find paintings, photographs, illustrations and other publications of the botijo, with the styles ranging from still life to more avant-garde works.
