Reservoirs (of knowledge), the vase, bowl or amphora have a primitive function which is closely linked to nature and to human nature. They are the receptacles that contain all manner of materials, foodstuffs, history and humanity. Creative Nature is an encounter between nature as a creator and the creativity of the artist’s hand. Whether suggested or materialised, these concepts are illustrated by over a 100 objects re-visited through contemporary crafts, using ceramics, glass, metalwork, wood or textiles, and sometimes new materials such as silicon, or organic matter. **Closed the 25.12.2022 and 01.01.2023**
Creative Nature will juxtapose contemporary European craftsmanship with the excellence of Belgian artists and artisans. Some of the artists who showed their work in Venice will join those of BeCraft to make up 40 exhibitors. They have been handpicked by Jean Blanchaert, curator of Next of Europe, one of the 15 exhibitions at Homo Faber Event; and Irina Eschenazi, assistant curator.
