Create a beautiful wooden box

1 day Max 8 people£95 including lunch

This box making workshop is perfect for anyone interested in making something beautiful, simple and functional, with no previous woodworking experience necessary. As well as presenting an introduction to timber technology, Sebastian teaches participants how to lay out dovetails using a marking knife and square, cut to a line with a dovetail saw, pare with a chisel, use a block plane, cut rebates with a router, and sand and finish your box before taking it home. Sebastian champions British woodlands and works almost exclusively with British hardwoods. The wood used for the box making will be offcuts (of any species) from his workshop wherever possible to avoid waste. The experience lasts a day, and takes place on a Sunday.
