2 weeks Max 2 people1500 euros per personThis introductory course to ancient lutherie is devised for those who wish to delve into the techniques of the past. Régis Floury is an eclectic artisan, with in-depth acoustic training which is essential in the making of an instrument. The course takes participants through the study and manufacture of string instruments. Step by step students will learn how to make a cavaquinho, a small Portuguese guitar, ancestor of the ukulele, learning the notions of acoustics linked to the making of this specific instrument. All woodwork is entirely made by hand, using specific tools and techniques of lutherie. The Intensive course takes place over 2 weeks, Monday to Friday, for 8 hours of teaching a day.
