How is wood processed to be turned? What types of wood are used? What are the inner workings of a tree? What care is needed? In this 3-day course, Jordi Pladevall will answer all these questions and many more to reveal the important aspects of this raw material. Students will learn how to process wood before it is worked, and then they will practice the manufacture of large format pieces on the lathe. By the end of the course, students will have acquired theoretical and practical knowledge about different groups of wood, how processing them and perfecting the turning technique. Students will practice safely in a pleasant environment surrounded by wood.
