Turn your household waste textiles into masterpieces

4 hours135 pounds per person

How can you turn old t-shirts and other fabrics from around the house into beautiful textile masterpieces? This workshop with Maria Sigma, will teach you foundational weaving skills, such as warping, loom set up, colour blending and structure, and basic weaving techniques and patterns. Not only can you learn a wide range of styles but you are encouraged to explore your imagination and express your personal voice. No previous experience is required to make a small wall hanging, pieces for a patchwork, a clutch bag or an abstract artwork, and plenty more. All material, a snack and cup of tea are provided – but do bring your own textiles to recycle, if you wish.
