Antique chandelier restoration

30 minutes Max 10 peopleFree

Sandrine Gluza welcomes visitors to her workshop, András, which was originally founded in 1934 by André and Claire Heine. She credits them with teaching her all the secrets of the trade. The workshop is big and packed with all sorts of chandeliers from different eras, Sandrine restores them according to the consolidated rules of tradition. The visit lasts approximately 30 minutes, during which Sandrine, whose profession in French is known as “lustier”, illustrates the history of this ancient craft, introduces participants to the way she works and explains how the work is carried out over very long periods. It is often only after many years that one has the necessary hindsight to see that a job has been well done.
