Create a luxurious wool rug

60 hours Max 2 people1,000 euros per week per person

Sigrun Lara is dedicated to her craft and has been creating avant garde rugs for over ten years. Courses take place in her studio, at the heart of the beautiful Icelandic village of Vopnafjordur, and are individually tailored to each participants needs. The full creative process, from initial idea to the finished piece, is covered. Sigrun Lara has an expert knowledge of tufting techniques and her own method of blending colours. Participants will make a small rug, using both a hand held tufting needle and the tufting gun. Materials, including rare Icelandic wool and the use of her specialist tools, are included in the cost, as well as tea, coffee and pastries.
