1 hour Max 5 people400 rubles per personThe Special Treasury features precious artefacts discovered during the museum’s archaeological trips across North Caucasus, which started in 1981. The oldest items on display date back to the 5th-6th century BC. The Parthian rhytons of Nisa are among the most stunning artefacts. A golden horn-shaped jar topped with an animal head, which was discovered in the Adyghe Republic, bears tangible Persian influences. Some of the most precious ceramic artefacts include Panathenaic prize vases (5th century BC), which were awarded to athletes who won competitions held in Athens and dedicated to the Greek goddess Athena. The most impressive glassware samples come from the burial mounds in the Adyghe Republic, and date from the Golden Horde era (4th century BC).
