Introductory course to lampworking

Duration to be arranged 1 person40 euros per hour

The course is designed for people who want to approach the world of lampworking for the first time. Lampworking is a process of sculpting glass carried out by means of a burner, commonly called "torch", in which oxygen and methane gas (but alternatively also propane) are mixed to obtain a correct combustion used to melt semi-finished glass rods. Once in a molten state, the glass is transformed into objects by blowing and shaping with tools and skilled hand movements. Under the supervision of master artisan Pietro Viero, equipped with all the necessary tools and materials, participants are guided in the process of creating their first simple objects. At the end of the course, participants will be able to keep the objects they made as memento of their visit.
