An introduction to pigments and gold leaf on metals

15 hours 4-12 people550 euros

This course is an introduction to the use of colours and pigments in contemporary jewellery. Lucia Massei will explain several colouring techniques on metal, traditional or modern: hot acrylics, pigments and their application, resins, mixed media, the use of chemical thinners and adhesives, rolling mill stamping, and flame gilding. Students will create jewellery using silver, copper and brass. Gold leaf, silver leaf, pigments, acrylics and non-precious metals are supplied by the school. The students can bring their own personal tools or the teacher will provide them. Please email for further information.
