A very skilled needle lacemaker, Francesca Bencivenni is an experienced teacher of the Aemilia Ars technique, which resumes and revives the Italian Renaissance tradition of the so-called “punto in aere” (which literally translates as stitch on air, without any support). In her headquarters in San Giovanni in Persiceto, near Bologna, Francesca gives individual lessons and teaches classes for small groups, beginning from the basic level. A kit to start with will be supplied by the teacher. During the course, the students will make some basic pieces.
Lacemaking course

Learners will also be sent some lecture notes via email and Francesca will be at their disposal for any individual clarification.
