Sculpted Lily of the Valley, circa 1908

Cartier Paris

Flowers are a predominant subject celebrated in Japanese art, also dearly beloved by Cartier up to this day. The Maison would soon choose to depict the beauty of chrysanthemums, Japanese prunus and wisterias through its creations, whether in a naturalistic or stylised manner, considering that they are very symbolic plants in Japan.
