Janne Koskela

Janne Koskela has been building acoustic guitars and microphones for a little over 15 years now. However, he has been fascinated by the beauty and sound of the wooden instruments for his whole life, playing, performing and recording his own as well as other musicians’ material. For each microphone and guitar, he chooses the most beautiful materials to make the playing and recording something that feeds not only the ear but the eye, hand and soul of the player as well. Aesthetic experience is a multidimensional one: the feel, the scent, the vibration, the vision, the sound, all work together when one is touched by a high-quality instrument. In his Timbre Tones workshop, Janne uses mostly hand tools, working one mic and guitar at a time. His work has been sold across four continents.
