Guy Leclef

Paper worker

Paper artist Guy Leclef lives and works in Antwerp, Belgium. Guy works with recycled paper and cardboard. His oeuvre represents a perpetual quest for the essence of things. His varied and exhilarating artwork is moulded from a mountain of waste paper. Through his signature attention to detail, he transforms his paper art into an experience. Guy’s handling of his medium – as though it were paint – displays a playful virtuosity, and never descends into showmanship or ennui. He calls it poetic recycling. Guy is represented by internationally renowned galleries in Italy, the USA, Belgium, Canada, Spain, South Africa and the Netherlands. His work is acquired by collectors all over the world, from Ivory Coast, Dubai, South Korea, Singapore to the UK. The artist has been involved in collaborations with a number of artists, including Paul Delvaux and Piet Boon.
