Elisabetta Bovina & Carlo Pastore

Elisabetta Bovina and Carlo Pastore both attended the ISIA (Istituto Superiore per le Industrie Artistiche) in Faenza. In 1990 they founded Elica Studio and ever since they have been designing and producing works using different materials, including wood, iron, ceramics and glass. Elica Studio also collaborates with various companies, designing their objects and furniture.
Elisabetta and Carlo have brought ceramic art into dialogue with seemingly distant artistic practices, such as scenography, performing arts and fashion. The artisans have created various ceramic costumes that have been featured in modern ballets and performances, blending ceramics, music, poetry and theatre.
Today, the artisan duo is committed to the creation of their personal collections under the brand Elica Studio, while also designing for other brands, such as Arcolaio, Raramanu and Visionnaire.
