Wild and creative since her early days, Catharine O’Boyle left her home in England at the age of 17 and soon found herself based in Australia and New Zealand. Living by the ocean, Catharine developed a passion for surfing. Quickly, from a complete beginner, Catharine became a certified surf instructor, going on to teach in Cornwall, Nicaragua and Portugal. However, her life lacked a creative output. When the pandemic first hit, the world had to stop, and so did Catharine. Instead, she came back home and started to work in her father’s workshop. Experimenting with resin, Catharine wanted to make something that would link her to surfing while she was landlocked. Thus she came up with a surf-skate board made from resin, combining her two passions: surfing and crafting.
