Artisan at work: Parchment illumination

Master manuscript illuminator Sophie Theodose will be working live in Sala Messina, showcasing her craftsmanship. Sophie will embellish a goat parchment with gold and natural pigments. To celebrate Venice, the artisan will be working on the theme of water, creating a wave pattern drawn with ink and enhanced with gold.
