Arthur is created entirely by hand in the carpentry atelier of Bottega Ghianda. Using the techniques of fine‑woodworking known as ebanisteria, the craftsman works on a single piece of solid ash wood, sanding it for hours, sometimes days, to create the shape of the seat and the three sabre-like legs. Once formed, the object is treated with water, to maintain the natural colour and make it longer lasting over time. To complete the stool, metal inserts are added to the top section of the legs.
