Vaidava Ceramics is a family owned historic pottery, rebranded as a designer and producer of tableware in 2015, it dates back to the times of the kolkhoz Vaidava in the 1980s. An important date for the brand was 1986, when Jānis Balodis joined the company and started the production of ceramics. It is now his two sons Miks and Uģis, who run Vaidava Ceramics. The brand creates functional design tableware from pure Latvian red clay, fully handmade from the preparation of the clay to the packaging by 15 experienced artisans.

They continue long-standing traditions of Latvian pottery, combining them with contemporary form and aesthetics. Following three basic principles in their design development - simplicity, sustainability, authenticity - the brand is known for their unique collections. The Earth Collection, where the exterior of the tableware is left unglazed, to honour the raw material, Latvian red clay, and to allow the holder of a bowl or a plate to feel the earth from where the clay came from. Since 2018, Vaidava Ceramics production can be found in 14 European countries, Japan and on online shops.
