Sonja Bikić has been working with ceramics for almost as long as she can remember. She was fascinated by a piece of jewellery she saw during a trip to Paris when she was a young girl. As she didn’t have enough money to buy it, she decided to try to make it out of clay when she got home. This led her to a ceramics studio in Aranđelovac, Serbia and later to study applied arts at the University of Belgrade. Sonja has exhibited her works around the world and won awards for them. Her pieces are on display in her own gallery in her hometown of Banja Luka and a selection in Museum of Contemporary Art of Republika Srpska.
