A family business born in 1889 in Venice, run today by the fifth generation, Rubelli is one of the pinnacles of textile craftsmanship in Italy and abroad. Their production skills, a delicate synergy between high-end technology and century-old craftsmanship, allow them to meet any request for extraordinary pieces, including the golden curtain of the Bolshoi theatre or costumes for the Harry Potter saga. Inspiration is drawn from the Rubelli historical archive, housed in Ca' Pisani Rubelli in Venice, a collection of over 7000 textile records, from the end of the 15th century to the first half of the 20th century.

The Rubelli mill, where the luxury fabrics of the brand are created, is today a state-of-the-art manufacturer with latest-generation electronic jacquard looms and a research laboratory, in the heart of the Como silk district. Nevertheless, the soul of the brand is antique and authentically Venetian, as demonstrated by four precious Venetian handlooms from the 18th century, in perfect working order, which are still used to interweave the most refined creations like soprarizzi, handmade velvet, a true gem of textile art.
