Paper Factor represents a contemporary innovation in the art of papier mâché, exploring its expressive potential through sustainable production methods. This patented material is light, strong and durable. Tested in collaboration with the University of Salento, it’s made from a compound of micro-paper invented by the restorer Lidiana Miotto 35 years ago.
Her son Riccardo Cavaciocchi is the founder of the company which produces micro-paper surfaces by hand and machine, for architecture, design and art in an unlimited variety of patterns. The impasto is worked with natural pigments, non toxic ingredients and natural fibres, pressed by hand onto moulds and slowly dried, then worked.
