Founded in 1983 by Wolfgang Olbrisch, the German manufacturer Olbrish designs and creates handbags, briefcases and backpacks, from its workshops right in the middle of Kreuzberg, one of the most inspiring areas in Berlin. Already in the 80s, Olbrish used leather leftovers as the main resource for producing high-quality bags in contrast to the consumption habits of the throwaway society. Today the manufacturer is known for durable bags with a clear, timeless design, that are both daily companions as well as eye-catchers for special occasions.

Olbrish bags are handmade from the best southern German cowhide nappa leather, woven horsehair or eco-friendly tanned fish leather. Each bag is handmade by a professional bag maker from the first to the last step. The manufacturer has received a series of awards honouring the excellent design, including the red-dot best of the best, the traditional GOOD DESIGN Chicago Athäneum, and the focus open award in gold and silver. In the future, Olbrish aims to pioneer news ways of sustainability, to further reduce the conflict between nature and technology.
