Founded in 1953, McNutt of Donegal is located along Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way. Producing fabrics which combine bold colours with classic neutral tones, McNutt is a fusion of modern Irish design and traditional craft. Successful from the outset, in the 1960s they won the contract to produce the uniforms for Ireland’s airline, Aer Lingus, and in the 1970s they produced fabrics for Japanese designer Kenzo. Today, William McNutt is the second generation to run the business, taking over from his parents.

He has ensured the success of the brand, maintaining quality and craftsmanship while keeping the edge of modernity in design that makes the company distinctive. Products are made from high-quality wools, including merino and alpaca from Ireland. For the past 20 years they have also been weaving premium Irish linen. In their dramatic costal location, collections take on the energy of the place, inspired by the changing seasons.
