Since its founding in 1987, Maison Taillardat has been a reference in the field of luxury furniture making, creating various pieces for home furnishing. Their style is a tribute to the 18th century French aesthetic and has always remained faithful to the traditional French art of furniture making. Between them the highly skilled craftspeople in the workshop master ten specific techniques, from cabinet making to leather casing.
Colours and tints as well as the waxes and patinas used to give the furniture a unique warm shade are all made in the atelier; this combined with the French varnish technique gives the furniture its unique golden and ancient appearance. Whether for its antiques or for its contemporary-looking furniture, the style of Maison Taillardat has seduced people from across the globe. The Maison was even asked to produce furniture for the decor of Sofia Coppola’s film Marie-Antoinette.
