Forces of nature

  • • Lisa started her career as a graphic designer
  • • She’s also a keen photographer
  • • A small piece can take her up to eight weeks

Lisa Lloyd's first career was very different to her current one: “I started an animation company 17 years ago. It specialised in mixed media animation using various materials such as clay, paper, stop-motion, fabric and handmade styles. The company was my first introduction to paper craft.” She started as a graphic designer and animator in London, working on TV commercials for the music industry. After this she moved on to direct live action music videos and finally, around nine years ago, Lisa began to work with paper – which is now her sole profession. She has produced paper artworks and sculptures for both commercial and private clients around the world. Commercial commissions have ranged from editorial work to large scale installations and visual merchandising.
