Alexandr Morgachev, the founder of Kyiv based upcycling atelier Kruk Garage traces his passion for crafting things to the childhood summers spent with his grandfather. Back then it was his beloved hobby, today Alexandr heads one of the most iconic Ukrainian handcrafted brands well-known all over the world. With a full-scale atelier opening in 2015, Kruk Garage has steadily provided its customers with masterfully made upcycled products.
Inspired by vintage objects from the Second World War era and workmen's accessories of the 19th and early 20th centuries, the atelier always delivers excellent handcrafted quality. Kruk Garage specializes in manual and machine tailoring of products with “usefulness” being at the core of its philosophy. Apart from common day-to-day objects like backpacks, briefcases and wallets, the atelier also makes highly specialised items such as leather aprons, bartender rolls, log bags and suspenders. All crafted using masterful leatherwork techniques.
