Origami lampshades

  • • Jutta takes more than a year to design her pieces
  • • She specialises in making lampshades
  • • She founded her label in 2005

Jutta Müntefering's passion for paper began during her time studying visual communication in Düsseldorf. She transforms two-dimensional materials into three-dimensional objects using origami-inspired folding techniques. She founded her label, werkdepot, in 2005. Under this label, she initially offered a variety of design objects, but today she exclusively designs and manufactures origami lampshades. Jutta's lampshades combine traditional craftsmanship with creative design. Her definition of a successful product is one that is technically perfect and easy to use, as well as having a special charisma. The overall impression should be authentic, as if everything must be as it is. When hung in groups, her objects look especially stunning. There is a wide selection of different models available on her online shop.
