Greggio Argenterie was founded in September 1948 by Rino Greggio, a skilled artisan who managed to transform a small artisanal workshop into a successful and internationally recognised business. One of six siblings, Rino trained as a goldsmith when he was still a child in order to support his family. During his training, he discovered the beauty and the infinite possibilities of silver. He began to make small objects and travelled by train all over Northern Italy to sell them, eventually selling his bicycle to buy working tools. Thanks to his talent, his design capabilities and his gift for understanding the demands of the market, Rino managed to make the business grow at great speed.
Today his children Marco, Barbara and Daniela carry on the family tradition in silverware. Greggio specialises in objects for children such as small weaning spoons and plates, as well as bridal dowries which are mostly sold abroad. All of the production phases are carried out in-house. The company is also on a mission to educate new generations of artisans: every year they host summer internships for high school students.
