Boasting more than a century of experience, Globe-Trotter is an iconic brand synonymous with British style. Established in 1897 in Germany by David Nelken, it moved to the UK in 1932, where all the collections have been handcrafted ever since. Nelken, developing an innovative manufacturing method, patented the use of Vulcanised Fibreboard in 1901, a very resistant yet extremely lightweight material, consisting of cotton, paper and wood pulp, that has had a key role in the popularity of the brand.

The production still takes place by hand, using some of the same methods and machinery from the Victorian era – the Golden Age of travel. Among the most prestigious Globe-Trotters customers we can find HM Queen Elizabeth II and Sir Winston Churchill.
