Emblem Weavers Weaving

Emblem Weavers is one of the only manufacturers of Irish linen left in the Republic of Ireland. Jim Conway established the mill in 1962 at the age of just 21 years old. From humble beginnings in a basement in Amien Street in Dublin, where Jim produced his fabrics on second hand looms and went door to door selling his wares, Emblem Weavers grew into an acclaimed manufacturer in the 1970s building a strong reputation for producing some of the finest linen in Ireland.

Today, Emblem Weavers is still very much a family affair with three of Jim’s nine children, Seamus, Stephen and Debbie directly engaged in the running of the business. The mill specialises in small batch yarn dyed, laundered Irish linen. Emblem Weavers is unique as it works with independent Irish fashion and homeware brands, such as Paul Costelloe. These clients are looking for a small batch local production, and Emblem Weavers brings creativity, innovation and quality to Irish linen's next chapter.
