For José Miguel Piñero nothing is impossible. He considers himself an idea maker, capable of bringing the wildest dreams to life. José has always been a creative, fond of artistic painting since childhood. He chose graphic design as his professional path. His first projects in the 1990s in Alcoy, his hometown, promoted his talent for mural aerographic painting and led him to work with the food and beverage sector, especially bars and clubs that were trending with themed décor. By 2015 and thanks to his emblematic snail logo, he made a name for himself in the Spaish restauranteur scene.
In Ibiza he designed sculptural themed tableware to complement Ferrán Adría’s sensory experience at his Heart restaurant next to Cirque du Soleil. Since then, José Miguel has become the artistic creative behind the most renown Michelin-star chefs in Spain. In his atelier, El Taller de Piñero, his ideas turn to incredible artwork with the help of sculptors, carpenters, silversmiths, casting specialists, lacquerers and painters, working as a team of 60. His customised tableware and barware is made in cast resin, which allows for series production in a small batch, artisanal fashion.
