Established in 1865, Dege & Skinner is a legendary tailoring house with a rich heritage of uncompromising craftsmanship. Located in London’s Savile Row, Dege & Skinner is part of the tradition of bespoke tailoring for which the street is famous. The workshop is home to 20 artisans, each with a specialty in the intricate process of creating a bespoke garment. First the client will choose the style of the garment, with expert guidance about the fabric and cut. Then the suit will be created according to their measurements.
Initially, for bespoke suits, they are basted together with stitches that are easy to be unstitched, and after multiple fittings and reconstructions, the bespoke garment is finished. In addition to the classic suits and tailoring, Dege & Skinner has been a great maker of uniforms during their 150-year history as a family company. From Prince Harry’s wedding attire to the sovereign's bodyguard in Scotland and England, the tailors have made impeccable garments for lords, soldiers and gentlemen.
