Soft shapes and colourful creations

  • • Coralla creates porcelain and ceramic tableware
  • • Her colourful pieces express their maker's free spirit
  • • She enjoys creating an element of the unexpected

After testing other ways of self-expression, a few years ago Coralla Maiuri came back to one of her childhood passions: playing with clay, as she used to do when she was a young girl. In her Roman workshop, Coralla creates and decorates by hand plates, bowls, mugs, vases, sculptures and jars; each of them being a small universe that express her youthful and free spirit and her light-hearted poetry. Her exclusive ceramic and porcelain tableware pieces, one-off or in limited editions, transmit her love and astonishment for the gentleness of life, through unexpected shapes and vivid, joyful colours; they have very quickly attracted an international clientele.

Celestial Platter & Spring Dessert Plate

This large blue platter is part of Coralla's Celestial line, Piazza del Popolo Collection, inspired by simple Italian artisanal pottery. Coralla has decorated it in a personal way, characterised by dots of different colours inside a gold crackled rim. The dessert platter, from her Spring Line, Four Seasons Collection, is decorated in shades of green and dynamic pink spirals that recall the countryside at harvest time.

Centrepiece

Coralla Maiuri has created this table centrepiece from carefully shaped porcelain. The porcelain takes on the form of a vaguely mountainous landscape, with earthy rocks, snow and golden details. Two space mushrooms form two small platforms. This porcelain environment becomes the welcoming habitat of two fairy animals.

Centrepiece #B23

Coralla Maiuri has created this table centrepiece from carefully worked porcelain. The porcelain has been hand formed to raise a mountain with a high compression of biological varieties: pink stone, pieces of Jurassic earth, fossil extrusions.

Blue Jar

This blue hued jar was worked with enamel mixed with powdered porcelain. This mixture makes the surface opaque, a quality accentuated by the white enamel medallions that contain red and blue crystals. The whole vase is splashed with drops of gold.
