Founded in 1958 by Carlo and Giovanni Moretti, Carlo Moretti is a 'factory of originals,' which has merged the know-how of the great Murano tradition with innovation, both in the technical and aesthetic fields. 1974 was a turning point, with the rediscovery of Murano crystal, a long lost Muranese tradition. Carlo Moretti is the largest furnace in Murano, set up over 4,000 square metres, and includes a showroom and a historical collection open to the public.
Talented glassmakers and glassblowers create unique pieces characterised by an unmistakable style arising from the harmonious fusion between industrial design, artistic vision and craftsmanship. Each creation is mouth-blown into a wild pear shape, then finished by hand and completed with various elements, such as murrine, drops, canes. Pieces by Carlo Moretti are in the collections of the main decorative art museums in the world, including Berlin, Prague, Paris, London and New York.
