How did you learn your craft?
I am a self-taught artisan. I learned the basic techniques in the south of the UK from local artisans and studied a lot on my own. I am a social psychologist, but after working in marketing I decided to revolutionise my life and focus on a creative activity that could reconnect me with my roots.
Is your work inspired by traditional designs from Sardinia?
Nostalgia is definitely the driver of my craft. I was raised in Sardinia surrounded by traditional, handmade fabrics. Weaving is an old craft. I do not use traditional Sardinian techniques but Sardinia is always a source of inspiration.

What is it that inspires you?
Inspiration might come from landscapes, coasts, rocks, but also ordinary tools and objects. I reshape this iconography into a contemporary style, where shapes become abstract and irregular. I embrace irregularity, as it is in the nature of weaving, and the result is often perceived as quintessentially Mediterranean.
What is your approach to sustainability?
I mostly use surplus wool from the carpet industry, which would otherwise be wasted. I am also currently looking for a new supplier of pure wool reassuring me in terms of animal welfare, which is of great importance for me.
