Tandem

This hand-painted scarf, made from crêpe de chine, is finished with hand-sewn details. This piece is inspired by Ramón Casas’s Tandem painting, a singular and emblematic painting of Catalan modernism, which represents Ramón Casas himself and Pere Romeu, bartender of the famous Els Quatre Gats brewery, who pedal in tandem with the Barcelona silhouette in the background. Margaret de Arcos created the scarf for an exhibition held at the National Art Museum of Catalonia.
