The beauty of sensitivity

  • • Jenya graduated with a degree in porcelain and glass
  • • She creates soulful ceramic sculptures
  • • She has a great eye for detail

Jenya Adamova has a certain enigmatic smile, frailness and bright aura, which she carries with lightness and beauty. Her creations mirror this personal delicacy by conveying a sense of calm and balance. Exquisite lines, clean volumes, harmony, rhythm, precision in detail, these are objects that tend more towards a unique piece of art rather than the utilitarian. Jenya is also part of the small team of the well-curated gallery TESTA, Sofia. She has drawn since early childhood and received the encouragement at home and at school to pursue her talent. The philosophy that guides her along the way is best expressed by her own words, “I have to search and experiment, that I should not be afraid of mistakes, and that every effort is worth it”.

Duet

This sculptural work was hand built from anthracite clay, fired at 1200°C and finished with a white engobe to achieve a very special brown-grey shade and the impression of a soft texture. The twofaced figure symbolises the communication between men and women. A small tree branch was printed on the surface.

Ceramic & Rubber bowl

The Ceramic & Rubber bowl collection represents a meeting of opposites. Soft and solid, light and dense - each piece combines two completely different materials. The smooth but vivid patterns of the crocheted silicon upper part contrasts and at the same time complements the oval shape of the ceramic base. It all flows in beautiful harmony. Each bowl could be utilised in daily life, its practical value depends on the imagination of the individual.

Paperclay Flower

This project is inspired by the beauty and simplicity of nature. Jenya is fascinated by the ideal dimensions of plants and their lightness, which inspired this bowl made of paperclay and transparent glaze.
