The Sevillian Guild of Religious Art is a foundation and association that was established in 2018 to promote and represent religious art craftsmanship in and around Seville. It has a mission to defend the interests of master artisans in this field and to connect stakeholders to increase knowledge sharing and encourage professional autonomy. The association is made up of embroiderers, sculptors, restorers, woodcarvers, painters and many more traditional and local craftspeople who design and make artefacts and art related to religious activities. Most recently, ArteSacro launched a modernisation initiative to carry the guild, its activities, its image and its participating artisans forwards into the digital age, a project called ArteSacro 2.0.
